Logical Change Control SHALL govern changes to logical definitions, relationships, responsibilities, constraints, and interaction patterns.

Part 2, Section 16.8: Logical Governance Requirements.

Logical Change Control provides disciplined evolution of the Logical Architecture while preserving architectural integrity and traceability. Governing logical changes independently of implementation activities ensures that architectural intent remains stable as technologies and deployments evolve.

This requirement applies to Logical Change Control.

It applies specifically to:

• Logical definitions;
• Logical relationships;
• Logical responsibilities;
• Logical constraints; and
• Logical Interaction Patterns.

Verification SHALL confirm that Logical Change Control governs changes to logical definitions, relationships, responsibilities, constraints, and interaction patterns.

Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:

• governed change processes are defined;
• architectural changes preserve logical meaning;
• Traceability is maintained across revisions; and
• governance remains platform independent.

This requirement supports traceability between governed architectural changes and the logical elements affected by those changes.
