The document set SHALL support the addition of financial domains, profiles, and deployment targets without requiring changes to the conceptual foundation.
Part 0, Section 10: Document Set Requirements.
The Financial Systems Archetype document set is intended to support extension over time. New financial domains, logical profiles, implementation profiles, deployment profiles, and deployment targets may be added as the work matures or as additional use cases are identified.
Those additions should not require changes to the conceptual foundation unless the underlying financial-system meaning has genuinely changed. If every new profile or deployment target forces changes to the conceptual architecture, the document set becomes unstable, difficult to govern, and hard to reuse across different implementation contexts.
This requirement preserves the conceptual foundation as the stable base of the architecture while allowing later parts of the document set to extend, specialize, and realize that foundation for particular domains, technologies, and deployment environments.
This requirement applies to the organization, authoring, review, maintenance, and extension of the Financial Systems Archetype document set.
It applies specifically to:
* financial-domain additions; * conceptual architecture extensions; * logical profiles; * implementation profiles; * deployment profiles; * deployment targets; * technology mappings; and * evidence and verification material added for new profiles or deployments.
Verification SHALL confirm that new financial domains, profiles, or deployment targets can be added without altering the established conceptual foundation unless a documented conceptual change is required.
Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:
* new financial domains are introduced as extensions or specialisations of the conceptual foundation; * logical profiles refine existing concepts rather than replacing them; * implementation profiles map to logical profiles without forcing conceptual changes; * deployment profiles describe operational realisations without changing architectural meaning; * deployment targets are treated as execution environments rather than conceptual authorities; and * any proposed change to the conceptual foundation is explicitly justified, reviewed, and traced.
This requirement supports controlled extension of the document set while preserving traceability back to the conceptual foundation.
