ENV-001e — Identify Required Test Resources

The DIDO-TE SHALL identify each Test Resource required by a Test Environment or record that the Test Environment requires no Test Resource and provide the basis for the determination.

Identifying the required Test Resources establishes the resources needed to instantiate and operate a Test Environment.

The recorded resource requirements support provisioning, availability assessment, Configuration, and confirmation that the Test Environment satisfies the resource needs of each applicable Test Definition.

An explicit determination that no Test Resource is required distinguishes an intentional condition from missing information.

Verification confirms that:

• Each Test Environment identifies every required Test Resource.
• Each identified Test Resource has an explicit relationship to the Test Environment.
• Each required Test Resource appears among the identified Test Resources.
• A Test Environment requiring no Test Resource records the determination and its basis.
• A missing Test Resource identification or determination constitutes nonconformance with this requirement.

Verification includes:

• Inspection of the controlled information for each Test Environment
• Inspection of the identified Test Resources
• Comparison of the identified Test Resources with the resources required to instantiate and operate the Test Environment
• Inspection of recorded determinations that no Test Resource is required
• Inspection of the basis recorded for each such determination
• A negative assessment using a Test Environment with an unidentified required Test Resource
• Confirmation that the negative assessment produces a nonconformance result
