MO-009d — Test Resource Use Traceability

DIDO-TE SHALL maintain Traceability between each use of a designated reusable Test Resource, the specific Test Resource version used, and the applicable Test Execution.

MO-009d derives from MO-009 — Reusable Test Resources.

MO-009d specifies the Test Resource use Traceability portion of MO-009.

The identity of a reusable Test Resource alone does not establish which version supported a Test Execution or how that resource contributed to the execution.

Traceability between a Test Resource use, the specific resource version, and the applicable Test Execution identifies the resources associated with the resulting Test Results, Verdicts, and Evidence.

This relationship supports repeatability, Reproducibility, comparison among Test Executions, impact analysis following a Test Resource change, and investigation of unexpected results.

MO-009d governs Traceability for actual Test Resource use. The companion requirements separately address Test Resource descriptions, control, and applicability.

Verification confirms that:

1. DIDO-TE records each use of a designated reusable Test Resource
2. Each Test Resource use record identifies the Test Resource
3. Each Test Resource use record identifies the specific Test Resource version used
4. Each Test Resource use record identifies the applicable Test Execution
5. Each Test Resource use record identifies the role or purpose of the Test Resource within the Test Execution
6. Each Test Resource use record identifies when the Test Resource was used
7. Each Test Resource use record identifies the applicable Test Resource applicability determination
8. DIDO-TE preserves Traceability from a Test Execution to every designated reusable Test Resource used during that execution
9. DIDO-TE preserves Traceability from a designated reusable Test Resource version to each Test Execution that used that version
10. DIDO-TE preserves the Test Resource use records associated with completed Test Executions
11. A change to a Test Resource does not alter the recorded identity or version of the resource used during a completed Test Execution
12. DIDO-TE supports identification of the Test Results, Verdicts, and Evidence associated with a recorded Test Resource use

Confirm that MO-009d remains limited to Test Resource use Traceability and does not duplicate the description, control, or applicability obligations assigned to MO-009a, MO-009b, and MO-009c.
