6.4.2 Platform-Independent Model Definition

The Platform Independent Model formalizes the Reference Architecture by defining its architectural constructs, relationships, and governance abstractions using abstract syntax and formally defined semantics.

  1. Proposals SHALL define the Platform Independent Model that formalizes the Reference Architecture.
  2. Proposals SHALL define the abstract syntax of the Platform Independent Model, including the structural constructs and constraints that govern architectural elements and relationships.
  3. Proposals SHALL define the formal semantics of the Platform Independent Model, independent of any specific implementation technology.
  4. Proposals SHALL define the Platform Independent Model with sufficient formal precision to permit independent implementation and conformance assessment.
