A Performance Measure identifies the quantity selected to evaluate a characteristic of [[public:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:p:performance|Performance]]. It identifies what is measured rather than the process used to obtain a value or the value obtained.

Examples include [[public:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:l:latency|Latency]], throughput, capacity, resource utilization, and another measurable performance characteristic.
