[[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:n:node|Node]] implementation [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:t:traceability|traceability]] relates an FX logical Node or Node Role to the Phase 0 implementation artifacts that realize it.

A node implementation trace must identify:

  - FX logical Node or Nodes realized
  - FX logical Node Role or Roles performed
  - Implementation node module or runtime participant
  - Process entry point where applicable
  - Supporting modules used
  - DDS Topics published or subscribed to
  - IDL structures and generated types used
  - Runtime Plane or Runtime Planes supported
  - Configuration artifacts used
  - Logging and exception-handling conventions applied
  - Developer Handbook rules applied
  - Review record confirming traceability

Node implementation traceability allows reviewers to confirm that an implementation participant realizes a defined logical responsibility rather than introducing an ungoverned implementation responsibility.
