====== 15.5 Generated-File Header Requirements ====== [[fxdemo:04-part:15-phase-0-developer-handbook-requirements:start | Go To Phase 0 Developer Handbook Requirements ]] The Developer Handbook must define a standard header for generated files. The generated-file header must identify: - Source definition - Source file - Generator or generation process - Generation context or version - Generated output location - Regeneration policy - Manual-editing rule - Related IDL structure or source artifact - Related FX logical information structure where applicable - [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:t:traceability|Traceability]] reference Generated files must state whether developers may edit them. By default, developers must not hand-edit generated files. Manual adaptation belongs in approved hand-authored wrapper modules, helper modules, adapter modules, or other source locations defined by the handbook. The generated-file header protects repeatability. It helps reviewers distinguish governed generated artifacts from hand-authored implementation logic. ---- © 2026 Dido Solutions, Inc. and Jackrabbit Consulting, Inc.
