====== 12.10 Request FX Policy Decision ======
[[fxdemo:04-part:12-phase-0-interaction-pattern-realization:start | Go To Phase 0 Interaction Pattern Realization ]]
The Request FX Policy Decision pattern realizes Phase 0 policy evaluation for governed handling or release of FX information.
The implementation participant performing the Policy Evaluation Role consumes or receives selected FX information and release context, applies the selected Phase 0 policy evaluation approach, produces an FX Policy Decision, and publishes that decision to the policy decision DDS Topic.
**Table 12-8:** Request FX Policy Decision implementation realization.
^ Realization Concern ^ Phase 0 Implementation Treatment ^
| FX logical interaction pattern | Request FX Policy Decision |
| Primary implementation participant | Policy and release implementation participant |
| Primary Runtime Plane | FX Logical Policy and Release Plane |
| Supporting Runtime Planes | FX Logical Data Plane; FX Logical Audit and Provenance Plane |
| Input DDS Topics | Selected Data Plane Topics as required by Phase 0 |
| Output DDS Topic | Policy.FX.PolicyDecision |
| Primary IDL / generated types | FxPolicyDecision; selected source-information generated types |
| Expected processing outcome | Implementation publishes a policy decision with evaluated information, intended recipient, purpose, decision result, rationale, obligations, producing participant, and timestamp. |
| Logging and exception handling | Missing source information, missing policy context, policy evaluation failure, denied release, publication failure, and retry conditions follow the logging and exception-handling baseline. |
| Audit and provenance expectation | Policy decision records preserve source references, policy context, decision rationale, obligations, producing participant, and timestamp. |
| Traceability expectation | Interaction traces to FX Policy and Release Node, Policy Evaluation Role, FX Policy Decision Endpoint, FX Policy Decision, and implementation participant. |
