====== 9. Mapping from FX Logical Communication Endpoints to DDS Topics ====== [[fxdemo:04-part:start | Go To Top ]] This section defines how the Phase 0 Implementation Profile maps the FX logical Communication Endpoints defined by the Part 3 FX Demo Logical Profile to the Data Distribution Service (DDS) Topics used by the Phase 0 implementation. The mapping identifies how each logical Communication Endpoint is realized as a DDS Topic while preserving the distinction between the platform-independent logical architecture and the selected implementation technology. An FX logical Communication Endpoint defines the logical point through which information is exchanged between logical Nodes. A DDS Topic provides the implementation mechanism that carries the corresponding information between implementation participants. The DDS Topic realizes the Communication Endpoint without changing its logical meaning, information responsibilities, Runtime Plane participation, or traceability relationships. Each mapping identifies the logical Communication Endpoint, the DDS Topic that realizes it, the associated Interface Definition Language (IDL) type, the expected publishers and subscribers, and the implementation artifacts that support its use. These mappings provide traceability between the logical architecture, the DDS implementation, generated implementation artifacts, deployment configuration, testing, and operational evidence. ===== Contents ===== {{indexmenu>fxdemo:04-part:09-mapping-from-fx-logical-communication-endpoints-to-dds-topics#1|js navbar nocookie maxjs#1 id#fxdemo_04_part_09_nav}} ---- © 2026 Dido Solutions, Inc. and Jackrabbit Consulting, Inc.
