This section defines how the Phase 0 Implementation Profile maps selected FX logical [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:l:logical_communication_endpoint|Communication Endpoints]] from the Part 3 FX Demo Logical Profile to [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:d:dds|DDS]] Topics.

An FX logical Communication Endpoint identifies a platform-independent point of information exchange among FX logical [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:l:logical_node|Nodes]]. A DDS Topic realizes the endpoint for the Phase 0 implementation context. The DDS Topic does not redefine the endpoint, the FX logical information structure carried by the endpoint, the [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:r:runtime_plane|Runtime Plane]] classification, or the participating FX logical Nodes and Node Roles.

The endpoint-to-topic mapping supports [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:t:traceability|traceability]] from FX logical Communication Endpoints to DDS Topics and from DDS Topics back to FX logical Communication Endpoints.
