====== 14.1 Overview ====== Go To Top An Implementation Profile / PSM maps the distributed, node-based Logical Architecture / PIM to selected implementation technologies, data representations, communication mechanisms, runtime packaging approaches, and implementation artifacts. This part defines the platform-independent logical architecture. An Implementation Profile / PSM defines how a selected implementation realizes that logical architecture. The implementation profile preserves the logical meaning of Logical Nodes, Logical Communication Endpoints, Logical Data Structure Definitions, Logical Data Structure Instances, Logical Runtime Planes, Logical Interaction Patterns, Logical Governance relationships, and Logical Traceability relationships. An Implementation Profile / PSM does not redefine the conceptual architecture from Part 1 or the Logical Architecture in this part. It provides technology-specific mappings from logical elements to implementation artifacts. ---- © 2026 Dido Solutions, Inc. and Jackrabbit Consulting, Inc.
