**Discussion:**

The [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:f:finance_ecosphere|Finance Ecosphere]] identifies the broad, governed area of financial activity that the Financial Systems Archetype addresses. It provides the highest-level classification for [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:f:financial_system|Financial Systems]] within this document set.

The [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:f:finance_ecosphere|Finance Ecosphere]] includes financial institutions, markets, instruments, transactions, obligations, reporting, oversight, supervision, risk analysis, settlement, and related structured-information processing activities.

Later [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:e:ecosystem|Ecosystem]]s, [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:d:domain|Domain]]s, logical profiles, implementation profiles, deployment profiles, and [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:e:evidence|Evidence]] plans inherit the [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:f:finance_ecosphere|Finance Ecosphere]] when they operate within the financial scope defined by this part.
