The Phase 0 Implementation Profile / PSM SHALL define a Phase 0 QoS Profile Model.

===== Rationale =====

A defined QoS Profile Model establishes the controlled communication behavior used by the selected Phase 0 DDS implementation.

The model makes communication characteristics explicit and allows QoS selections to remain aligned with DDS Topic mappings, Runtime Plane purposes, and the Phase 0 implementation baseline.

===== Applies To =====

This requirement applies to:

  * Phase 0 QoS profiles;
  * DDS Topic mappings;
  * Runtime Plane mappings;
  * publisher and subscriber configuration; and
  * communication compatibility review.

===== Verification =====

Verification SHALL confirm that the Phase 0 Implementation Profile / PSM defines a Phase 0 QoS Profile Model.

Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:

  * applicable QoS profile families are identified;
  * QoS mappings identify their communication purpose;
  * applicable DDS Topic relationships are defined; and
  * QoS configuration is governed by the Phase 0 implementation baseline.

This requirement establishes the Phase 0 communication behavior model used by the remaining QoS requirements.
