Interpretation-controlled transitions SHALL depend on FX Semantic Assertions.

===== Rationale =====

Interpretation-controlled transitions ensure that lifecycle progression depends upon the logical interpretation of transaction information rather than solely upon syntactic validity. By requiring transitions to depend on FX Semantic Assertions, the architecture distinguishes semantic interpretation from validation and preserves the conceptual processing model established by the FX Demo Logical Profile.

Maintaining this dependency enables consistent interpretation, governance, traceability, and interoperability while remaining independent of any implementation-specific rules engine, inference engine, or semantic processing technology.

This requirement applies to every interpretation-controlled transition defined by the FX Demo Logical Profile.

It applies specifically to:

  * interpretation-controlled lifecycle transitions;
  * semantic processing;
  * lifecycle governance;
  * architectural reviews; and
  * derived Implementation Profiles.

===== Verification =====

Verification SHALL confirm that every interpretation-controlled transition depends upon the appropriate FX Semantic Assertion.

Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:

  * interpretation-controlled transitions are identified;
  * corresponding FX Semantic Assertions are identified;
  * lifecycle progression depends upon logical semantic interpretation; and
  * implementation-specific semantic technologies are not prescribed.

===== Traceability =====

This requirement establishes the dependency between lifecycle progression and FX Semantic Assertions within the logical lifecycle model.
