Each FX logical Node Role SHALL identify the responsibility performed by an FX logical Node without prescribing an implementation component, team assignment, operational owner, or deployment unit.

===== Rationale =====

A logical Node Role describes the architectural responsibility performed by a logical Node rather than the organizational, operational, or technical mechanism used to realize that responsibility. Maintaining this distinction preserves the platform-independent nature of the FX Demo Logical Profile and allows multiple Implementation Profiles to realize the same logical responsibilities using different implementation approaches.

Separating logical responsibilities from implementation concerns supports architectural consistency, portability, governance, and reuse while avoiding unnecessary constraints on future implementations.

This requirement applies to every FX logical Node Role defined by the FX Demo Logical Profile.

It applies specifically to:

  * logical Node Role definitions;
  * architectural responsibility modeling;
  * logical architecture reviews;
  * Implementation Profile development;
  * deployment planning; and
  * architectural conformance assessments.

Verification SHALL confirm that each FX logical Node Role defines an architectural responsibility without prescribing implementation-specific concerns.

Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:

  * each logical Node Role identifies an architectural responsibility;
  * implementation components are not prescribed;
  * team assignments are not defined;
  * operational ownership is not specified;
  * deployment units are not identified; and
  * the logical Node Role remains implementation independent.

===== Traceability =====

This requirement preserves the separation between architectural responsibilities and implementation concerns established by the layered architecture defined in Parts 1 and 2 and maintained by the FX Demo Logical Profile.
