===== Rationale =====

Logical Communication Endpoints provide the architectural abstraction through which Logical Nodes exchange information. Treating endpoints as platform-independent concepts preserves architectural meaning while allowing different implementation technologies to realize the same logical communication relationships.

This requirement applies to Logical Communication Endpoints throughout the Logical Architecture / PIM.

It applies specifically to:

  * Logical Communication Endpoints;
  * Logical Nodes;
  * Logical interactions; and
  * Communication modeling.

===== Verification =====

Verification SHALL confirm that every Logical Communication Endpoint identifies a platform-independent point of information exchange among Logical Nodes.

Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:

  * Logical Communication Endpoints are explicitly identified;
  * Logical Communication Endpoints connect Logical Nodes;
  * endpoint definitions remain independent of implementation technologies; and
  * Logical Communication Endpoints support logical interaction modeling.

This requirement supports traceability between Logical Communication Endpoints, participating Logical Nodes, and Logical Interaction Patterns.
