===== Discussion =====

The Transaction Intake Role identifies responsibility for receiving candidate FX transaction information and introducing it into the FX Demo logical node network.

This role includes receiving FX Transaction Candidate information, preserving or assigning intake identifiers, identifying intake context, publishing intake information, and supporting [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:t:traceability|traceability]] from initial receipt to validation, [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:i:interpretation|interpretation]], contract state, audit, provenance, and [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:e:evidence|evidence]] expectations.

The Transaction Intake Role participates primarily in the FX Logical [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:d:data_plane|Data Plane]]. It also supports the FX Logical [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:a:audit_and_provenance_plane|Audit and Provenance Plane]] when intake records preserve provenance and evidence expectations.
