===== Discussion =====

The **FX Transaction Intake Node** receives candidate FX transaction information and introduces it into the FX Demo logical [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:l:logical_node|Node]] network.

The FX Transaction Intake Node performs transaction intake responsibilities. It accepts FX Transaction Candidate information, assigns or preserves required identifiers, records intake context, publishes transaction intake information, and supports [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:t:traceability|Traceability]] from initial receipt to later validation, interpretation, contract state, cash-flow computation, audit, provenance, and [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:e:evidence|Evidence]] expectations.

The FX Transaction Intake Node participates primarily in the [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:l:logical_data_plane|Logical Data Plane]]. It also participates in the [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:l:logical_audit_and_provenance_plane|Logical Audit and Provenance Plane]] when it records intake provenance, and in the [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:l:logical_health_and_observability_plane|Logical Health and Observability Plane]] when it reports operational condition.
