The Original Requirement states:

FR-BAS-001:

  * Replaces **The system** with the defined system name [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:c:crucible|Crucible]]
  * Changes **shall** to the established uppercase normative form **SHALL**
  * Replaces **image-layer and infrastructure-baseline repositories** with the controlled [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:b:baseline_repository|Baseline Repository]], [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:i:image_layer|Image Layer]], and [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:i:infrastructure_baseline|Infrastructure Baseline]] concepts

No other substantive normalization is required.

===== Rationale =====

A [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:w:workspace|Workspace]] provides the bounded working context in which selected repository content is available to Crucible operations.

Consuming [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:b:baseline_repository|Baseline Repositories]] from a Workspace enables [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:c:crucible|Crucible]] to use identified [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:i:image_layer|Image Layers]] and [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:i:infrastructure_baseline|Infrastructure Baselines]] as inputs to later operations, including [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:b:baseline_selection|Baseline Selection]] and [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:b:baseline_composition|Baseline Composition]].

This requirement allows a Workspace to contain:

  * One or more Baseline Repositories containing Image Layers
  * One or more Baseline Repositories containing Infrastructure Baselines
  * Both types of Baseline Repository

This requirement establishes consumption of Baseline Repositories from a Workspace without prescribing:

  * A particular repository-hosting service
  * A particular repository layout
  * A particular checkout mechanism
  * A particular [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:g:git|Git]] branch
  * A particular [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:r:revision|Revision]]
  * Repository authentication or authorization
