The Original Requirement states:

OR-005 replaces **the system** with the defined system name [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:c:crucible|Crucible]], replaces the weak verb **support** with **perform**, and defines the minimum quantity represented by **distributed environments** as two.

===== Rationale =====

Organizations operate Infrastructure Environments whose components, resources, or services span multiple networked locations or Nodes.

[[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:c:centralized_management|Centralized Management]] provides a unified management authority for those environments without requiring the managed environments to form a [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:c:centralized_system|Centralized System]].

A [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:d:distributed_environment|Distributed Environment]] can use a [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:d:distributed_system|Distributed System]] or a [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:d:distributed_network_topology|Distributed Network Topology]] while remaining subject to Centralized Management by Crucible.

This requirement establishes the centralized-management capability without prescribing a particular Management Interface, network topology, communication protocol, or implementation technology.
